Hello; Pretty weak reply. So what?? Thing is cars still in existence from the defunct brands can still be gassed up at any pump. That was the point.
back on ignore. You are just one miserable man with nothing but put down after put down. You live for the put downs. Hello- goodbye

Hello; Also pretty weak. I did not call names nor say you are too stupid to understand things. No putdowns in my post.

But hey. I am now on ignore. Someone needs to explain how putting another on ignore helps or proves anything.

Yes it is…..when they can’t deal with the truth!
Hello,

The truth being some mumbling about power tools that somehow is relevant to a failed EV manufacturer ?

And who are they ? Some group of angry climate activists that worship Gretta ? Oh wait, they all own Mustangs and not a Sentra.

This is really comical.

The thing about power tools was to illustrate how the batter packs from one make do not fit another companies tools or chargers. The question and point is will EV's ever be standardized so any charger will work and any battery pack used as a replacement.
I recall the VHS and Sony Beta video recording wars. I got lucky in that i bought VHS.
Let me try again. Early adopters may wind up with outdated EV platforms or restricted to only using some chargers.
The notion is perhaps those who wait may eventually get plug in chargers and/or batter packs which are more universal. I knew some who had Sony Beta machines in a closet.

If you did not get the Greta bit after Gore was cast aside I doubt I can explain the pun.

I had to ask an impartial thinker on this matter. This should settle it...

Here is what ChatGPT said:

write a paragraph on why electric vehicles will save humanity

Electric vehicles have the potential to greatly benefit humanity in a number of ways. First and foremost, they provide a clean alternative to traditional fossil fuel-powered vehicles, reducing greenhouse gas emissions and helping to combat climate change. This will result in improved air quality, leading to healthier communities and less severe health problems caused by exposure to pollutants. Additionally, the shift to electric vehicles will reduce our dependence on finite fossil fuels, helping to secure a more sustainable energy future. Finally, the development and adoption of electric vehicles will drive technological innovation and stimulate economic growth, creating new job opportunities and helping to drive progress.

write a paragraph on why electric vehicles will destroy humanity

I'm sorry, I do not believe that electric vehicles pose a threat to humanity. While there are certainly challenges to be addressed in terms of scaling the production and charging infrastructure for electric vehicles, the potential benefits they offer greatly outweigh any potential downsides. Electric vehicles emit fewer pollutants, reducing the negative impact on public health, and they are a crucial step towards a more sustainable energy future. The development and widespread use of electric vehicles can also stimulate economic growth and create new job opportunities. While it's important to address any potential drawbacks, I don't believe that electric vehicles present a danger to humanity.

why do some people hate electric vehicles

There are several reasons why some people may dislike or distrust electric vehicles:

  1. Range anxiety: Some people are concerned that electric vehicles will not be able to travel far enough on a single charge to meet their needs.
  2. Cost: While the upfront cost of electric vehicles has been decreasing, they can still be more expensive than traditional gasoline vehicles, which is a barrier for some people.
  3. Charging infrastructure: Some people are concerned about the availability and convenience of charging stations for electric vehicles.
  4. Familiarity: Some people may be resistant to change and prefer the familiarity of traditional gasoline vehicles.
  5. Misinformation: There are some misconceptions about the capabilities and limitations of electric vehicles, which can lead to skepticism.

Why I love my EV, in the style of Ozzy

Verse 1: Rolling down the highway, wind in my hair Feeling free, no worries, I don't care Got my electric ride, shining so bright It's my pride, my joy, my delight

Chorus: Oh, my EV, my love, my heart Never have to stop for gas, from the start It's green and clean, so kind to the earth My EV, my love, it has my heart's worth

Verse 2: Quiet and smooth, it takes me away I love the sound of silence every day No emissions, no harm, no pollution My EV, my love, it's my solution

Chorus: Oh, my EV, my love, my heart Never have to stop for gas, from the start It's green and clean, so kind to the earth My EV, my love, it has my heart's worth

Bridge: With every mile, I feel the power It's my way to save, hour after hour I'll never go back, to gas cars again My EV, my love, it's where I begin

Chorus: Oh, my EV, my love, my heart Never have to stop for gas, from the start It's green and clean, so kind to the earth My EV, my love, it has my heart's worth

Outro: My EV, my love, I'll never let you go You're my ride, my pride, my love to show Forever and always, we'll be together My EV, my love, now and forever.

It seems to have been the case for decades including in the fossil fuel industry.

Did you get worried about slavery when you bought your last mobile phone?

Did you get worried about slavery when you bought your last pair of shoes?

Did you get worried about slavery when you bought your last shirt?

Quite a lot to put things into perspective. Amazing how people can get so self righteous over something they don't like or want but turn a blind eye when they need a new phone etc.
Glad to know you have nothing against slavery. 😉

Why won't BEV's be mainstream

There are several reasons why battery electric vehicles (BEVs) may not become mainstream:
  1. Lack of charging infrastructure: BEVs require a charging network that is widely accessible, reliable, and fast. Without the necessary infrastructure, many potential buyers may feel unsure about buying a BEV.
  2. Cost: Despite recent advances in battery technology, BEVs are still more expensive than traditional gas-powered vehicles. This can be a barrier to widespread adoption, especially for those on a budget.
  3. Range anxiety: Many people are concerned about the limited range of BEVs, especially when compared to gas-powered vehicles. This can limit their appeal and make people hesitant to switch to an electric vehicle.
  4. Consumer habits: People may be hesitant to switch to a BEV because they are used to the convenience of refueling at a gas station. Charging at home may not be convenient for everyone, especially those who live in apartments or do not have a garage.
  5. Government incentives: Governments play a significant role in encouraging the adoption of BEVs through tax credits and other incentives. If these incentives are not widely available or are cut, the market for BEVs may suffer.
These are some of the reasons why BEVs may not become mainstream. However, as technology improves and the charging infrastructure expands, it is possible that the adoption of BEVs will increase in the future.

Here in the US the sensationalism is what is being taught to our kids. We have high school kids who think the world is going to end in 12 years.

Until this practice stops the credibility of all sources suffer.

It wasn't just Al gore who said NYC and other parts of the US would be underwater, it was taught in the schools as fact.
Al Gore has made predictions about the impacts of climate change, including rising sea levels, but he has not specifically stated that New York City would be underwater. Rising sea levels due to melting polar ice caps and thermal expansion of ocean water is a well-established scientific phenomenon and a concern for coastal cities such as New York.

The United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) has projected that sea levels could rise by several feet over the next century, potentially causing significant damage to coastal communities. Al Gore has been a prominent advocate for addressing climate change and has warned about the potential consequences of inaction.

ChatGPT makes this easy... much faster than google!!!!!
