72 million people is not miniscule. A minority - yes, miniscule - no

Many more want gun reforms which seem far more likely
Comparatively to what needs to happen to amend any constitutional amendment yes it is. Plus I need to remind you we are not a democracy. 51% of people don’t automatically get to change the constitution as they want. There’s a process in place and that process is extensive and complicated.

You know what this cancer has taught me? Life is too short to stay angry or hate anyone. You can dislike someone and still find a middle ground that you can agree upon. I’m sure @Gregs24 isnt fond of child molesters. See brother it’s all how you look at it.

@Gregs24 as much sh*t we talk back and forth I guarantee we’d have a blast putting down some beers and talking crap to one another and everyone else around us. That’s just the reality of it.😂
I think a LOT of the messaging (especially tone) is lost in print.

If I’d said (in person) what I meant earlier re: “you live in a country full of guns” it would’ve made more sense.

The point I was alluding to was that you were complaining about how bad life is (I’m summarising) and therefore there’s no point in even worrying about future problems….my suggestion was meant to suggest that IF it’s that bad, it’s easily remedied in the US.

That we NOT a suggestion that ANYONE here should do such a thing, but rather a reminder that IF someone TRULY believes that, they likely have easy access to a personal solution.
The fact that most people (yourself included) aren’t doing this in their droves, seems to indicate that most of us are looking toward the future with at least some positivity, or at the very least, some hope that things might change for the better.

Again, in person, this would come across quite differently. You’d hear the empathy in my voice, the words might change depending on the reaction I’m receiving etc etc. Knowing that you have terminal cancer might also influence the delivery….

To be clear, NO HARM was intended in the comment and it most certainly had nothing to do with repealing the 2A (although I do think some common sense laws might help a bit, but even that wasn‘t even a subtext of the comment).

In a private chat with one of the people I typically disagree with, we both suggested that we probably have a LOT of common ground.
It seems to me that we sometimes assume too much.

Example:
Recently someone mentioned the J6’ers in prison.

I think we all agree that anyone breaking the law should face the consequences….

Then, someone jumped in and said that the looters/rioters should be held accountable and that none of the “other side” seemed too concerned about them…

I’d remind that person to read the underlined statement again and tell me that I don’t support the notion of those looters and rioters being held to account. Peaceful protest I can get behind. Vandalism, assault and theft, nope.

See, we do agree on a few things. Probably more than we give each other credit for.

Hello; these two posts are rich. The first long attempt to squirm away from what you suggested failed. Thing is when you hint at suicide harm is intended. In fact not too long ago a girl was convicted and sentenced for telling a boy to kill himself long distance. By text i think.

The second post is more your normal style.

@Burkey
The long post about humanity is that to me saving the earth has absolutely nothing good if we can’t change men as he is today. It’s more of a spiritual way of looking at it with out saying it.

As you and I talked over car pricing we found a common ground that it’s outrageous how the market is and how crazy it seems it is going.

I apologized to @Gregs24 off line for coming at him so hard. Not my style bad day and he took the brunt of it by no fault of his own we are just debating here and honestly we shouldn’t take anything in here personal every attacks. The internet has this way of allowing people to be as*h*les and that’s not right. Sometimes people will say some sh*t that they wouldn’t say IRL why I always try not to get too confrontational. Why because I have to give you basic respect as a man and as a human being. I know you didn’t mean any disrespect by the gun comment either. 👊🏼

And I’ll own up to the snide comment about the looters. It seems that so many people who have opposite views tend to support these animals and I made an ass out of myself and I apologize. While not every single human being has a redeeming value, we must always try and find it. Except child molesters…I think we can agree that they need to be poofbegone. 😂👍🏼

Hello; Notice how the thread has generally begun to move away from the EV topics and into side issues. Fair enough in a way. The green energy and BEV agendas are poked full of holes of late. What ground they have to stand on is shrunk.
Lately the best retort has been BEV sales are up. Not a surprise with the incentives, advertising and climate scare tactics.

That me and folks posting similar comments as i do are hated is to be expected.

What would those be? We already have 10's of thousands of firearms laws. Maybe enforcing them?

I can have a good conversation with Burkey over a beer at a Pub. Not so much Gregg. He has done nothing but insult me for a few years. I can count on one finger the amount of people I think that way about.

@AZlb5.0 Sorry for your condition. My health is not very good either.

Correct. If they attack a federal building in Seattle they should be prosecuted the same as if they attacked a federal building in DC.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/clim...tricity-bills-depend-how-much-money-you-make/

“But California is about to challenge that basic logic, in an attempt to curb rising rates and help electrify the state's approximately 14 million homes. A new state law will require its three investor-owned utilities to charge customers fees for electricity based not only on how much electricity they use, but also on how much money they make.”

”The debate beginning in California touches on the question that all states will have to face sooner or later: Who should pay for the damage climate change is doing to the electricity grid?”😂

“All that work means California's electricity prices have gone sky-high. California's average retail electricity price is around 20 cents per kilowatt-hour, almost double the national average. And some customers see prices much higher than that: Pacific Gas & Electric offers rates that start at $0.31 per kilowatt-hour and climb to as high as $0.50 per kilowatt-hour depending on the time of day.”

I’m so Blessed @K4fxd, I call it my gift. It has helped me spiritually a 100 fold.
