I have not seen any discussion on the glass roof option. I know this has been an option for a few years on the current Mustang. In general do people like this option? Is it a popular choice? I have not seen very many personally. Do you think this would be a good option for the S550? Let know what you think.

Love it, but we don't sell that many.

It's mostly been for the passenger's benefit but here's the thing. S550 may have a flatter roofline and could cause some overhead visibility issues. I'm thinking that glass option would come in handy more than ever.

Why would anyone vote against an option? As long as it's not standard....

The two issues I see with it are weight and cost. It's heavier and is not cheap. Otherwise I hear good things.

Like said above, I have no issue with it being an option. That being said, I personally have no interest in it as an option on any SVT variant I would own.

It's 50 pounds. Take a poop and don't drink as much water before you drive it.;)

I'd rather have something helping air flow. I can get away with barely ever using my air conditioning now with four windows and a sunroof.

How about quarter windows that vent like a 3-Series coupe or an RX-8?

I'd prefer both.

Adds weight, adds cost, and it doesn't open up. Plus it's just one more seal that will eventually leak.

I don't like it, or sunroofs/moonroofs in general.

It does add weight, but is a great alternative to a convertible, which adds a lot more weight and can only be used on sunny warm days. Of which are few and far between where I live. Not to mention, I could enjoy the roof during the fall and spring. It's less expensive than a convertible. There is an after market version that does open. As far as leaking, that can happen with any seal, but I wouldn't spend my time worrying about something that might happen. Might as well live in a one room house with no windows waiting for the world to end.

It's an alternative that Camaro and Challenger don't have. I think it's a good idea to keep so you have a unique option that can sell vehicles by itself. It may not be many, but it still helps.

Yes, that is correct. Don't want to shove it down anyone's throat.

I liked it when I sat in one before I bought my '11, but $2000? There are lots of other options I'd choose for 2k before I'd choose the glass roof.

Its nice, but a lot of money for a roof that doesn't open. One of just a few options I passed on. The Vista roof on other Fords is less money. The Mustang needs one like the MKZ has.
