Yea with a lease it is not the best idea to do major engine mods.... If you do not intend on keeping a leased vehicle then I suggest not doing any mods.... Wasted money to me since those parts likely will not fit on any other vehicle and resale value is usually quite low.

Interesting thing to note: On supersix's main page it shows a 4.0L stroker kit. A testimony from a Ginette G50 owner states that the stroker kit upped their power from 370bhp to 450bhp... Let that sink in for a minute... 450hp from an NA V6... :eyebulge:

I am kinda just using the lease to make it a two-time payment. I will keep the vehicle as long as its not a vehicle with tons of problems. It's my first vehicle and I would like to keep it for like 20yrs until I settled somewhere

In that case I would check into your leasing policy and see if it has any restrictions on the type of modifications that can be done to the vehicle during the leasing period.

I don't actually mind the power that much, its the highrevving character & the sound of it would be unique. V8 is known for its rumble, I4 is good for turbos and v6 has been used on sports cars and high-revving is always its sweet-spot. God i hope those alfa romeos are sold here in canada

Speaking of super six, has anyone seen their exhaust for the 2015+ 3.7? It looks like basically dumped glass packs. It's $400 and I'm kind of tempted to be the Guinea pig if no one else has tried it yet

I looked at the sight, the production car has 355hp...or atleast one of the versions did. Still a really cool car, and we all know how light the 3.7 is :)

At least we don't have an engine that has a tendency to go boom..... :D:lol:

In all seriousness though, the 3.7 is a great engine with great power. It is just not the future Ford wants..... Ford wants the small displacement turbo vehicles so they can meet (kinda) the new standards for fuel economy and for their vehicles to be cheaper in Europe.
You can't say stuff like this then cry and say it is always the EB guys starting stuff. 370hp is cute though...

It's not on opinion tho... its a fact. The 3.7 has been tried and test and it has proven to be a reliable engine, let Ford work out the kinks on its EcoBoost engine, then later down the road we can evaluate the fact that EcoBoost Mustang engines are going boom.

It is, you sure? Maybe you should ask UPR about your "fact". You know, they just have a stock motor, stock turbo car in the 10's. This also had nothing to do with the EB and he decided to make the type of comment most in here cry about. Can't have it both ways.

I was being sarcastic with that statement..... No need to get defensive about it.... AND it was in response to an EB owner trying to start something.

But yes it is based in some fact.... A new EB seems to blow up almost every week now. How many 6 or 8 owners have you seen complain about a blown engine? Not as many as the EB...

Its ok just he's just someone getting upset I have drove turbo cars, they may be the furture, but turbo cars are the most unreliable, its almost like the rotory motor great motor but the future of people aren't going to maintain it and do what they should, same with a turbo you have to treat it good and oil it well if not then they blow up. That is a fact...someone can run how much power on a car and you can say well look at that ecoboost but how long will it run how reliable will it stay, I am assuming not the life of a reg car I would give it a yr- 2 yrs tops with that kind of power on stock.
