Took the car out today after sitting untouched for 3 months in my back yard. Temps were still only 50°, but no predicted snow for rest of month. So on the driveway it will now be. Kept it easy, and drove it very mild until all temps were at full operating range. And then I put it in Sport mode, and let it rip. So good to be hearing/feeling that exhaust note again. Many sport cars out on the highways today. Many wanting to challenge me. I let them think they have me, until I shift into 5th at 7k rpm, and blow by them doing .... :lipssealed:
My man Bob, you have been a bad boy today. 5th gear, and 7 grand on the old "Tack O Meter"
You must have been going like 160 MPH ???

Our Long Island winter has been very mild. My stang usually gets burried in the back of my shop till spring comes, but I’ve kept it accessible so I can take it out on dry, warmer days. Not getting much traction in the cold, but it’s such a rush to fire it up and hear those pipes come to life. Especially if you haven’t driven it in a while.

Had to resurrect Lorne's past pic.
Thanks Chris! My favorite meme... it's the gift that just keeps on giving. I am envious of the guys in NY as here in WI (i'm sure in IL as well) we are in the traditional battle between the end of winter and the first signs of spring. 40+ degrees for several days.. high 30's for a week and then BAM! 6-8 inches of snow and back down below freezing. I have to say though that this year has been especially tolerable since I installed a heater in my garage and put the shelby on wheel dollies. I've been working on little projects all winter and it's kept the fire smoldering until spring/summer. I'm planning on posting some of my projects in my build forum today. TIme to start watching my "car movies" and thinking about the first glorious days of warm weather and getting her out!

I have to admit I'm jealous of those who already have warm weather. We got a few more inches of snow today. There's a lot still piled up. I looked at the forecast for the upcoming week and it's supposed to be cold.

Wow, that's brutal!
We didn't get much snow this winter season up here in the part of MA that I live in. Maybe a foot, if that. I didn't even have to use the snowblower at all. I can't remember the last time that happened.

Good luck man!

I tried blowing a path so I could get a few bikes out of my house. Wasn't very successful. 😆
Still more snow expected so...

With 12-15 inches of snowpack and no temps above 45 in sight....they wait like a leopard in tall grass.

I live in MN on Lake Superior and I keep hoping "just a few more days or couple more weeks" as we get a couple 35-40+ days and stuff starts melting then it goes back down to sub 20 degree weather and we are supposed to get snow again tomorrow and Friday again and looked at the forecast for the whole next week and nothing but one day supposed to really be over freezing.

So over winter already, it seemed to have started early this year and is just DRAGGING on for so long it feels like, ughhhh

We've been enjoying skiing at Lutsen this season. Over 10' of snow in your part of the state.

Where are you located at around here?

I haven't done anything fun in the snow in a long time. I really miss snowmobiling and I haven't went snowboarding in years. Maybe next year
