I took my car in for its first oil change two weeks ago at around 1600 miles. Prior to that when I filled up my gas tank, I was getting an estimate of 300 miles to E.

Now, after the service I've filled up twice and I'm getting an estimate of 275.

Anyone else having this problem?

If so, any idea how to fix it? Should I bring it up to the dealer?

all that means is that your estimated mpg is lower, absolutely no big deal.

Have you been calculating your mileage every fill-up?

Yes. I just found it strange to suddenly loose about 25 miles from what the estimate had been the entire time I've owned the car.

Is your MPG for a tank full going down because maybe you are driving it harder? Compare your tank MPG to the DTE after that fill-up over time to see if what you are seeing is because your MPG is going down on latter tanks of gas.

The DTE value you see after a fill-up will be determined by what your MPG was for that tank. Are you resetting your MPG reading on the Information Center after each fill-up?

Exactly. He probably is having more burnouts compared to before!

Not so much the burnouts haha, but I do find myself thinking "I didn't realize I was going that fast..." more often than not recently.

Miles per gallon go down. Smiles per gallon go up. They're directly related.

Reset trip meter at every fillup to keep track of miles/miles per gallon. I have found that it is way to easy to be cruising 80 plus because the car is so quiet inside/outside.....

I have had estimates as high as 430 miles to empty. It's all about what your recent mileage has been.

That could be a record.

Hey Xris,

As others have stated, it is all based on your MPG.

If they re-flashed your computer or reset or MPG, the "Miles to E" will also reset to reflect your current MPG.

I've had mine say anywhere from 375+ to 120 after a few track nights in a row :clap2:

You have nothing to worry about.

Let me know if you ever need anything!

Thanks Will!

I just wanted to make sure it was something normal and not something the dealership screwed up.

I've never had such fancy schmancy tech in my car before so, I won't lie, it kinda freaked me out a little bit to see such a difference.

Appreciate everyone's help!
