Okay gents, I bit the bullet and hit the dealer network again HARD after finding out the order I had on the books for a month wasn't going to result in a R.

Well today I got confirmation from the good Ford Performance folks on the forum that the new order I placed is indeed for a 2017 GT350R. They were also kind enough to give me closure earlier this week and let me know my prior order was only for a GT350. While my new deal isn't quite as good as the first one, I'm content that it is on the very lowest end of the scale and at least it's REAL.

The moral of this story? Once you get the information needed to check with Ford Performance, DO IT! Never just go on the word of your dealer or their Ford Rep.

Now the wait really begins! My 2017 is currently "In order processing".

Congrats! I know you'll love the car. I have no regrets (other than wishing for a better dealer experience). Have they told you what quarter it would be built? I could never seem to get that info about mine.

Thanks! I'm trying to find out what quarter I'm in but no word on it yet. The car is "In Order Processing" after only a week but I'm not sure exactly what that means in the overall timeline.

Woah! You're already past the "unscheduled, material hold" endless saga. I would assume you'll be scheduled to a week very shortly. What color, options, etc?

Deysha stated that In Order Processing and Unscheduled Material Hold were one and the same.

I've tried to erase those memories of waiting and status updates so I could be confused. I think "In order Processing" is phase 1. So It can be "In Order Processing-Unscheduled material hold" and then move to "In order processing- Unscheduled clean". It's the second part that matters the most.

FPCV8YO is correct, geb78. Those are one in the same when speaking about SVT orders.
