Lord I can't wait until we rid the world of stealerships. This topic should not exist. Getting a new car from the manufacturer at frickin MSRP should not even be a question.

I think getting the GT350 at MSRP will be a challenge but not too difficult. Getting an R at MSRP will be much tougher. I think the GT350 would do fine for you as a track car as a hobby. I don't think the additional cost the R will bring is worth the fraction of a second performance gain it would give you at the track. I wish you good luck either way though. I am getting excited about hearing the MSRP and performance numbers. Thanks for the info, mustang_luckers. I agree another out-of-town trip will most likely be needed for a GT350/GT350R at MSRP. I wouldn't consider myself a collector, but more of a performance/sport vehicle enthusiast. I track cars and motorbikes several times a year, and that is the primary reason a GT350 checked all the boxes for me.
It's not the dealerships yo need to be mad at. It's the people who pay the ADM, whether it's because they have the money to and dont mind, or it's just the flat out dum customers who don't do any research when buying a car. Because of these people dealerships think they can charge everyone ADM. If you stick to your guns you can/will find a car at MSRP. Look at the LE's, the ADM's on these things are starting to come down and soon you will be able to find many with no ADM's. I think you are mad at the wrong people...IMHO tho!!!Lord I can't wait until we rid the world of stealerships. This topic should not exist. I respectfully disagree. It's the dealer who charges more, so it's his fault. It's not the dealerships yo need to be mad at.
You can shop just like online, if you pay the asking price it's an incredibly simple straight forward process. It's actually the negotiating that makes the process long, drawn out, and complicated sometimes. If you don't want to pay the asking price just make an offer.I respectfully disagree. It's the dealer who charges more, so it's his fault.
You would then praise that the free market allows such behavior, and that is good.
Again, I disagree, as a consumer I find extremely time-wasting to have to find, discuss and potentially purchase or turn-down a purchase.
I would like a fixed price from the manufacturer or, maybe closer to a free market, an online shopping from the dealers where they publish their REAL prices all-inclusive and detailed, without having to spend hours to go through the ridiculous ladder of their salespeople.
Wouldn't that be great if we can buy cars like other items we buy online? if your prices or add-on services are competitive you will flourish, if not..you'll go out of market soon...
This. Also at the end of the day don't you want the dealership to do everything they can for you. Don't you think if they didn't make a profit at the end of the day things like free loaner cars, free roadside assistance, being available to answer all your questions for free, or do anything else for you has to be paid for in some way ? Imo it seems like a lot of people who openly complain about ADM's aren't going to purchase either way, and just seem to like to complain sometimes. And this is in no way shape or form directed at you merely a general observation. AS you stated though I do find it 100% true that if you are willing to be patient you will be able to get these cars without or with a very minimal ADM, if you are patient. It's not the dealerships yo need to be mad at. Plus, if you can ask for a car at invoice, why can't they ask for an ADM???
The whole point of this thread is about getting one at MSRP which I think we can mostly all agree is fair for the Base GT350... My personal opinion on ADM's is that not only will that dealer not get me as a customer for a GT350, (not that they would care) but they will also never get me as a customer for any vehicle no matter how good the deal may be. I just want it to be fair for both sides and charging an ADM shows me nothing but greed. If both parties making the deal are happy the rest of you can go jump in a lake and that is saying it nicely.
So what? When we know what MSRP is we also know there is a margin between that and your actual invoice. There is some justification in asking for a lower price since the high and low are a given...our first one is already sold at $7500 over
as far as getting upset about demand calling for over msrp, it's the same thing as some vehicles bringing below msrp.
I'm willing to guess that just about every person that gets upset that dealers want more than msrp for the gt350, have walked into a dealership at one point or another and asked for less than msrp on a vehicle........
If that deal sets the tone for the rest of us.... You should be standing in the lake all by yourself. Also putting it nicely. If both parties making the deal are happy the rest of you can go jump in a lake and that is saying it nicely.
Your taking it the wrong way. That's not what I'm saying. So what? When we know what MSRP is we also know there is a margin between that and your actual invoice. There is some justification in asking for a lower price since the high and low are a given...
