Get a 2015 Mustang or order a 2016?

Hi,

My current car got totaled. I was rear ended while I was waiting for the lights to go green. So while I am dealing with insurance, I have started looking for the next car and with a target to make a decision within a week or so.
My wife has the family car so not urgent to buy car immediately but it is inconvenient to stretch it out too long.

Now looking to buy a V6 or a EB (base + automatic) but not sure if I should wait for 2016 delivery or if the "deals" are good enough now to buy. As the 2016 is not changing that much (Sync 3 is not a game changer for me) and I am not looking for additional options as I am happy with the options in base + automatic. Saves me money.

Q) How much of a price difference to expect between the current 2015 base + automatic vs 2016?
Q) Any experience or knowledge about how much for a base + automatic in V6 or EB?

I am in the DC metro area. Please recommend any good dealers/sales person.

I am also thinking through the money vs timeline too.

Was in the exact same situation, decided to order a 2016 GT from Koons in Sterling VA. If you want to go to Sterling I can pass your info to my salesman.


Sounds like everyone is okay, I am still dealing with my bodily injury claim. Hopefully that gets settled soon, collision part is done though.

Thanks, you cannot order a 2015 any more. If you can find one on the lot, you may get a better deal. I was pricing an order for a 2015 back in May but got a 2016 order for the same price (a little cheaper actually). So if you cannot find one you will need to order.

I could not find one with the options I wanted and didn't want to pay extra for options I did not want. Also SYNC 3 and upgrading with Wifi played into my decision for the 2016.
