Has anyone had any problems with the fuel door? Last time I fueled, the door felt loose. When I took it to the dealer to look at it, they said the spring was tweaked and it wouldn't be covered under warranty. They suggested the car must have been moved while fueling. Um, no. They said it would cost $120 to fix.

Thank you so much. I thought it was BS they wouldn't cover it under warranty.

If your dealer is telling you this on a $120 dollar part what is he going to do if you have a real issue. I think I would look for another dealership to work with.

You’re welcomed to bring it in to a different Ford Dealer for a second opinion, TractorJen. I’m happy to escalate this for you as well. Please, PM me with your VIN, dealer, mileage, full name, and best daytime number.

Now see the above is how it should work they should have escalated it automatically to try and help you as much as possible. Can they fix it all maybe not but for things like this they should be able to help.

Mine did the same thing yesterday. I wonder how long this will take to fix. Last warranty experience I had with different car took four days.
