garage door opener help

OK, not totally following you, are you saying that you have Homelink in your car, and you want to program it?

Most modern garage door openers have rotating codes, so there's multiple steps, first setting Homelink to the proper brand (using the remote), then syncing it with the opener itself (using the button on the opener/motor unit).

No sweat man, just follow that guide, it can be a little finicky to initially setup. When I was pushing my sync button (the final step), I had to do it like 2 or 3 times before it worked.

I find the only way I can program my garage opener is first to program a regular clip on type opener to the garage opener. Then program the homelink button to the clip on type opener.
