Does anyone have any first hand experience with this differential setup? I'm contemplating switching out the entire rear end to a solid axle or possibly just running the G-Force.

It sure looks nice and beefy! It’s also very expensive too. I would love to have one in my ride though.

You gonna do a built motor and a gforce 9in? Ballin!!!!!!!!

What advantages does the 9in have over the super 8.8 with axles and supporting mods?

I'm going to call Kelly Aiken in the morning to talk to him. It's funny you ask that because I feel the same way as you. It seems that the 8.8 with all the mods would be strong but after speaking to Aldo and Sai they both said ditch the 8.8. 1 said do the G force and the other said do the straight axle. At this point I'd rather just over build to make sure I don't have any failures. I dropped my motor off Saturday :-) and it'll be done in November he said.

I dont feel either way. I wont ever be doing a 9in or solid axle conversion, so i was just wondering if there was an advantage with the gforce 9in or not.

depends on your goals with the car. the irs is pretty stout to start with.

If you like the irs, how it drives, but are making crazy power, then the gforce or dss 9" will give you more potential out of your irs.

we've ran on the stock 8.8 for about 3.5 years, and are just now upgrading to a dss 9". car is making about 1300 wheel right now.

The 9" also gives you some other gear options as well which is really nice.

Solid axles are great for drag racing, but if you want to retain the irs, the 9" options are really nice

:)
