I like that a lot more than I thought I would.

I don't see why we don't have these, I'd buy that over a C-max or Flex any day!

And it's STILL not on sale in Europe, either! It'll be due a face lift before it's even launched!

But it is a very good looking car.

Wagons... :barf::barf::barf::barf::barf::barf::barf::barf:

If you have a need for it? Ok. But if you frequent Jalopnik and think they're cool? No, just no.

Wagons are 10,000 times better than crossovers or SUVs that nobody ever takes offroad anyway. Better mileage, drive like a car, give you all the space you need for anything.

Car companies stopped making wagons for the U.S. market (except Volvo and Subaru and a smattering of Germans that sell in like zero volume) because nobody buys them, but it completely boggles my mind that somebody would rather buy, say, a Ford Escape than a Fusion wagon.

Totally agreed. :)

The modern "station wagon" is the CUV.

Yes i do think they are cool. All the performance of a coupe or sedan with none of the limitations. they are the perfect car.

IMO there only need to be roughly 5 cars, two-seat coupe, convertible, wagon, mini-van and 3-row SUV with various sizes of each. All others types are inferior in some capacity.

Parents still have an older Mazda6 wagon. Great multipurpose car.

Now if they'd only bring back a Ranchero in some form...

I did see pictures from the last NAIAS of both the Focus (and Focus ST) and Regal/Insignia estates on show with potential to see them released in the USA.

That Mondeo/Fusion wagon photo from Flat Rock is probably an early test model to release the bigger ford wagon in the states.

Totally agreed. :)

That's what quite a lot of Crossovers actually are, they just happen to have AWD and a raised suspension.

Take a look at Europe's most popular SUV, the Nissan Qashqai. Square off the rear end slightly and you 100% have a mid-size wagon.

I would buy my wife a Fusion wagon to replace her present Escape as soon as they make one. We once had a Taurus wagon and it was a great all-purpose vehicle, we wonder why Ford doesn't make such a vehicle anymore.

Oh heck yeah, I missed this thread the first-go-around last year. Love the pics Top and B-Fox.

I'd love to have a Fusion Wagon as the Hockey vehicle for the boys. Maybe even in Guard Green :)
