Fun roads to drive on

The short: What are fun roads to drive on in your area? Any fun ones while on a road trip? Phoenix gets boring because it's like a grid: straight roads every where. Efficient for commuting, not very fun.

The long: The Army sent me from Phoenix to Kentucky for my contract. Bought a 2012 Si in Feb 2013. Loved it. Perfect for those curvey roads. Just about any trip would be fun. I miss those days of waking up at 0500 on a Saturday just for a fun drive.

I live in Huntsville Alabama and really enjoyed the twisty roads to Fort Payne Alabama via Scottsboro. However, my all time favorite experience are twists on the way to Boulder Colorado via I-70..,

I heard Tail of the Dragon has a lot of fatalities. Personally, I don't drive the car at its limits. I just want some spirited driving. I'll drive the roads normally until I feel comfortable though.

I heard Tail of the Dragon has a lot of fatalities. Personally, I don't drive the car at its limits. I just want some spirited driving. I'll drive the roads normally until I feel comfortable though.

Mostly bikers that think they're Rossi or inexperienced riders.

Phoenix to flagstaff on backroads I think would be fun.

Any desert roads in the southwest where there are few cars and no cops.

I had no idea there was back roads. I thought the only road was I-17.

Nothing totally direct, but a lot of "long way there" diversions.

Over in the UK, I'd recommend:

B2139 (Storrington - Slindon): Only a short little blast, but a fun little road. Plenty of curves and crests to keep you amused. Can get a little busy in rush hour, though
A15 (Twigmoor - Lincoln): Longest straight road in the UK at 18 miles. May sound pathetic by the standards in the USA, but it's something rather amusing over here.
B3135 (Oakhill - Cheddar): Long, winding road that takes you right through the middle of Cheddar Gorge
