Anyone encounter their fuel lid open without ever doing anything that would make it open? It happens all of the time. Any ideas on what might be the cause and how to repair?

You’re right. With E85 it’s constantly feeding time. I’ll just spray the push pin that locks inward on first push and then pops out on second push. Doesn’t look easy to get access to replace the simple mechanism if necessary.
There were problems with the fuel door in the 15 & 16s but that was mostly being g loose and not sitting centered. There are YouTube videos out there that show how to remove the fuel door pocket and either attempt repairs or just replace it.
Be sure to mask off the paint around the fill pocket before trying to get it out and use plastic tools.
Pretty sure. It’s open quite frequently and car is garaged most of the time. I removed the rubber boot and sprayed some silicon on it and pushed it in and out a few times. Will see what happens.
