I suppose it depends on the wall thickness of the tube. I don't think Ford would put a weaker part in a PP, but one never knows.

Is it a real spherical bearing? It looks like it needs to be clocked for tightening.
Yes it is a spherical bearing. Single piece forging will always be stronger than joined material. Connecting rods typically fail at the joint. If a welded tubing connecting rod was stronger than a single forging they would be used. The PP parts are better.

I just replaced the rubber bush with Steeda bearing. It improves the steering response.
Well worth it.

That would be the forward mounted arm, the rear mounted PP arm already has the bearing in it.
