I just picked up my new 2020 GT350 today. It only has 1000 miles on the clock and seems like it was very well taken care of. The only thing I don't like about it is it seems the previous owner just drilled holes into the front bumper to add the front license plate. I'm in TN and we only have rear license plates so I'd love to repair this. Any ideas how? I assume the correct way would be some kind of plastic bumper repair with new stripes over it. My understanding is that they only sell the stripes as a whole kit and they're not cheap.

Anyone have any ideas?

Easy fix while you contemplate longer term more expensive options: go to Lowes/Homedepot and buy small plastic plugs often used in furniture and other hardware solutions (usually by the screws, some auto parts stores have them too) generally they are black or white. Paint plug with appropriate touch up paint and insert - generally last 6 months before you must re-touch, easily removable, and very hard to see from a few feet away.

remove stripes. use some abs plastic filler. sand. use adhesion promoter. repaint affected area if it can be blended. If you are covering with a stripe, obviously less attention to detail is needed for paint.

Man, that’s painful to look at.
Pretty expensive repair if you want it done right. Check with Big Worm Graphics, they may sell you just that piece of vinyl.
Remove vinyl, fill and sand down and cover with fresh vinyl. Only you will know.
Don’t throw the previous owner under the bus quite yet, I have heard of dealerships doing that.

No, not true. they do sell them in seperate sections, but yes, they are not cheap.

Edit. Do it right and don't skimp. Get OEM stripes and paint the holes you fill.

Here is a link to a Ford OEM stripe replacement... do your new Shelby justice and don't butcher the repair:

https://www.oemfordpart.com/oem-par...9MjAxOSZ0PXNoZWxieS1ndDM1MCZlPTUtMmwtdjgtZ2Fz

The cost is only $117.21... worth it for proper replacement in my opinion.
Check and verify that this is the correct P/N.
Congrats on the new purchase.... you will LOVE this vehicle...!

You may need to de-burr the drill holes that were made previously, then “fill” the holes, not “paint” them prior to applying the new stripes. Paint will not fill the hole or provide any way to fill the hole.

I'm replacing the oem front bumber stripe due to scratches and it cost me 663$. It's the whole front bumper up too the hood vent that was needed. The top little peice of the bumber is considered the hood stripe as well. Smh. I didn't do big worms graphix because they wouldn't match up too oem stripes a bit wider. I was told there sold as left and right side as well.
