Apologies in advance if there is a thread elsewhere, I looked all around and didn't find quite what I was looking for so I figure I'll ask here.
I was lucky enough to not have the dealer drill holes into the front of my car
, so I'd like to keep it that way. I've looked around and there are really only 2 license plate brackets for our cars Craig's custom bracket and the Sto-N-Sho. I don't really want to go the craig's bracket approach because I'm worried that once that glue fails the plate will fall off, or if it doesn't fail (such as someone tapping the plate with something) it might damage the frontend. I ordered the Sto-N-Sho, but now I'm finding out that my v6 has the air dam that requires "modification" (read pull out spot welds and put the bracket there :frusty
. I'm concerned about modifying the air dam since its not really an easily reversible mod. I think the reason the Sto-N-Sho has such a large mounting plate (which requires the modification) is because its supposed to be easily removeable-- but I'd be just as happy if "removal" meant pull those 2 screws from the front out and take the bracket off. Ideally the bracket would just go in those two factory holes (that the sto-n-sho goes in) without requiring air dam modifications.
TLDR; Anyone seen any front license plate brackets that you could bolt on without modification? If not, any tips for making one?
