So its not a factory thing than? If my car was not black, I would not have been happy, but as its all black dont look to bad, and might stop me catching the front bumper

Here in California the dealer drills the plates. Some dealers drill them no matter what. Others wait until the car is sold, and depending on the dealer, they'll ask if you want the holder installed or not. I refused and chose to install a Sto N Sho. Looks much nicer, and the plate is removable.
