Front Bumper Options

Just got back from the body shop. Will depend on what the insurance company says but he said he’s got another S550 coming in and he was able to order an aftermarket hood of his choosing. If they approve a new bumper I’m likely going to go with the Mach-style bumper from Steeda. Not trying to pose as something my car is not, I just really like the Mach bumper

Ive got a Gt500 rear valance and spolier, Mach 1 front end... doesn't matter.
I still have the 5.0 badges on the side. I'm not out here trying to tell people its something its not.

If you're gunna put a ZL1 badge on an SS, a scat pack badge on a V6 charger, a cobra or Mach1 badge on a GT or Ecoboost? OK thats up-badging and its lame.

Upgrading the body? Far as I'm concerned, its fair game.

Just an FYI for anyone out there...
When I ordered my front bumper from 777 it was right around the time they first offered the halo-lights in the grill.

They offered them to me absolutely free of charge, which I found very generous.

I feel bad saying this but I wish they hadn't.
Off the bat, they looked great at night. But during the day they were like a dull Grey color and it looked awful.
After a few weeks, one light started to flicker randomly between the white and amber (they blink amber acting like a turn signal)
Then the white turned a completely different shade and I had two different halos.
I eventually disconnected them and painted them black.

I'd definitely recommend anyone else stay away from any of those Halo grill lights in a Mach 1 front end.

It’s sucks that happened to you but thanks for bringing this up. I had my eye on the M1 with the pre-installed halo lights but I’m glad to know that could be a potential issue.

Ok, so I ended up ordering the Steeda Mach 1-style bumper from @LethalPerformance today, taking advantage of their anniversary sale. Having it shipped right to the body shop

Just wanted to give a quick shoutout to @tj@steeda and @LethalPerformance . I hadn’t heard anything about my front bumper shipping yet so I reached out to both. They’ve been incredibly responsive and helpful, so just wanted to say thanks to both Steeda and Lethal for their quick responses. I expected nothing less and they’ve been great.

As an update, hoping to have the bumper soon then my car will go in for repairs. Will post pics when it’s all done. Can’t wait to have my car back without a mashed up fender and bumper.

The Steeda sales team quickly responded with a FedEx tracking number this morning, so more kudos to Steeda. I’m already talking with the body shop, car should be going in sometime next week

Just dropped my car off at the body shop to get all fixed up. Will post pics with the Mach 1 style bumper when it’s all done!

Grille and splitter pieces are all painted. The splitters did not come textured like OEM splitters, so I decided to try something different and have them painted gloss black to match the rest of the grille pieces. These were finished on Thursday, he is going to start painting the fender and bumper and do the door and hood blend.

The headlight was approved to be replaced and if it wasn’t, it was going to be added. 2 large cracks in the back of the housing were causing the headlight to fog up in the humidity last week. A few other small things were found in the tear down last week but otherwise full steam ahead.

I’m getting pretty stoked! Still mad it took me getting hit to pull the trigger on a different bumper but it is what it is at this point.
