I have a 2016 gt premium . And the front bumper cover , the plastic clip that holds the corner of the bumper flush with the fender keeps breaking. I did some reading and apparently this is a known problem for these cars , however I already replaced the one on the passenger side, and now just randomly the one on the driver side broke. I find this extremely frustrating , you shouldn’t drive somewhere and get out of your car to discover that the corner of your bumper became detached. Is there a permanent solution to this , or Iam I going to have to just randomly keep fixing this whenever it breaks. and I don’t like the whole push pin solution , I want it to look normal , please let me know !!

Just tossing it out there, the annoying to get to screw behind the fenderwell liner isn’t missing, is it? Hate that screw and sure many others do as well. Only asking because if the bumper has been off, prior to you owning the car, there’s always the chance someone who didn’t care said “f” that screw, and if so…..those clips would probably weaken over time 🫤

I have the repair kit from djcodeman that I have yet to find free time to install.

In the meantime, this does a pretty good job.
Eventually the cable ties will weaken and have to replace. I also didn't want to go the push pin route.
