Since I won't be tracking my car I do want a bit more braking than non-performance stock 4 piston front brakes. So I am buying a Brembo kit for the front. I'll be getting 15" rotors, 6 piston Brembo calipers with dust shield and brake pads, brake lines.

Besides brake fluid is there anything else I should get before it arrives (schedule for March 4)?

Technically you should change the master cylinder. However if not tracking the 4 piston one it should be ok. If you want a better and bigger initial bite u may want to change pads with somenthing more aggressive. As always my advice is :Test it first OEM then evolve with it (meaning better pads)

I just did this last month. Get double the fluid you think you need just incase. Probably comes with the kit but caliper bolts and banjo bolts with washers. Gloves, towels, drip pans, brake bleeder kit, various metric wrenches and sockets, optional 13mm line wrench. Bleeding the brakes was the hardest part for me. First time doing and made me nervous. Watch plenty of youtube videos.

I'm doing same upgrade.. what size wheels do you have? You must have at least 19s to clear brembo caliper, I was told and heard on this forum. I have 19x9s.. all around.
Thanks Anthony

I’m about to do this myself and the kit doesn’t have the dust shield, any insight as to how necessary it is? Presumably it blocks dust and as an unintended consequence keeps heat…

I started this on Monday and will post the final photos tomorrow. I had help with the brake bleed and that was a massive time saver. My advice is carefully pay attention to the instructions. The kit came with everything except brake fluid, but I had plenty DOT 4 on-hand for this project. Here are a few pics as I prepared for the upgrade:

Ive read that the master cylinder and brake booster are different part numbers and are "stronger" than the stock / base GT. Not sure if that would effect performance for you or not but the vorshlag guys seem to think so.
