I took a hit on the undercarriage and some damage. It looks like a stabilizing connector that also possibly holds the em brake line got bent. Bolt broke off too. Any suggestions for a fix? Besides just trying to bend it back. How urgent is it that I fix?
Iāve never worked on brakes before and I was able to do the fronts by researching and having the correct tools. Hardest part was bleeding the brakes by myself. But now that wouldnāt be an issue. I understand that the rears are a little more difficult tho. It adds the parking break to the equation.
I just did this last month. Get double the fluid you think you need just incase. Probably comes with the kit but caliper bolts and banjo bolts with washers. Gloves, towels, drip pans, brake bleeder kit, various metric wrenches and sockets, optional 13mm line wrench. Bleeding the brakes was the...
Ive turned those setttings off or as low as possibe. The thing im dealing with the most is the chime when i turn on cruise control. I can live with it but be nice to turn off. There could be a way but ive never researched. Always forget about once im out of the car.
In theory these features...
I'll be happy to sell my 4p front rotors but shipping will be pricey. Was gonna put the calibers and rotors up for sale when I got around to it. I didnt think there was much interest in those but I guess there would be if people needed to replace their poorly designed rotors.
Yes very similar. PP rotors are slightly larger and definitely heavier. Upgraded mine a few weeks ago. Iāll buy your right side splash shield at double the going rate! š
Build date 11/21 non-pp GT premium front brake rotors. I could mistaken but the issue was no air ventilation on the inside of the rotor? There is a slot. Not sure if thats enough for hard track breaking. I wouldnāt know
Since a lot say u can use the old ones I think it means they prefer you change to the better hoses. Especially if you have a decent amount of milage on the older ones. I replaced mine with
J&M steel mesh ones from LMR. They came with new washers for the banjo bolts so I used them. If not, I...
Finding the right hand side dust shield is an issue for me and a few others on here. They are currently back ordered. Iāve been running no shields on my pp brake upgrade for a week. So far, no issues. I just received the LH shield today from Lakeland but as I said, no eta on the right
I ended up buying these after realizing the brake cables that came with the take offs I bought didnāt bolt up to my non pp. I didnāt try to reuse the 4 piston cables due to lmrās recommendation and reading post about changing to higher quality steel mesh cables. I was seriously afraid of...
I used the original break line (the line that screws into the cable and runs to the master cylinder)but it was recommended to me to add 6 piston brake cables that run from the caliper to the line. Someone please correct me if im mixing up those terms.
Donāt think Iāve posted on this particular thread about the SP2ās I picked up few weeks ago. Staggered with Nittos. I was apprehensive about the tires but it was so much easier to get wheel/tire pkg. so far tires are fine and look great. Upgraded to performance front breaks last week.
Itās only been a day but canāt tell much. I think thatās the consensus for most who have upgraded. They can mainly tell the difference on the track. But the calipers look really nice behind the front wheels. It wasnāt a necessity but Iām happy with it.
