Looking for the torque spec for the front axle nut. I'm replacing my wheel bearing / hub assembly.

Also, please confirm that the axle nut is a 1-time use.

Thanks,
Steve

Thats some serious torque. None of my 1/2" torque wrenches go that high.I dont think my arms will go that high either.

You should really look into a quality torque wrench. 1/2" drive is very common that goes to 250ft/lbs.

I think everyone appreciates you sharing info here. Thanx. I do have 3, 1/2" torque wrenches that seem just fine. They all max out at 150 ft #. Most mere mortals would find it very hard,if not impossible to apply 251# of torque without using some type of long extender on the wrench. Sounds like a job for truck tools and 3/4" drive.

My 1/2" torque wrench goes to 250# and is needed to tighten the lug nuts on the F250 to 165#. All 32 of them. It's not too hard since they design the wrench with a longer handle.

We will be adding a Tool Section to our site this week, we already have a few of these pending sold. We are just finalizing the agreements and pricing.

This is a very popular model WRENCH It basially covers everything on the Mustang.

My 3/4" stuff starts at 200ft/lbs, my 3/8" stuff goes to 100ft/lbs. 250ft/lbs isn't that much with the proper tools. Life is too short to torque critical fasteners with low priced instruments.

I spent $60 on a 250 ft-lb Tekton torque wrench off Amazon... works well. Replacing the hub assembly was cake on this car.

Precision Instrument torque wrenches are great quality. I have two - a 3/8" and 1/2".
