I actually tried this the other day when I had my exhaust off and it was a pain and not sure it was worth the effort. Pain to get out and then I squeezed it too much where it wouldn't go back onto studs then unbent and remounted. Maybe undid all my work. Lol. I could not tell a significant change.

I replaced mine with the stiffer steeda bushing and mount. It made a nice improvement in the cars shifting. I can see how this mod would help a little, but that metal is very thin and the rubber is very soft. If you are going to remove it to mod it, the steeda part would be a nice upgrade

I installed the Hurst Indy Style Short Throw Shifter on my 2020 GT. The kit came with a much stiffer polyurethane bushing that seemed to make a difference.
