Huh? The Falcon came out first in 1960. The Mustang was originally derived from the Falcon.

Look again the Falcon was before the Mustang,. The very reason I never liked the mustang, cause it was a Ford Falcon.

The Falcon Sprit in between the 2 , 8 tracks were big then. And that car made a great looking gasser, almost got me to switch to Ford.

I think a lot of 'Stang loyalists will fall away in the upcoming model years, including me. I'm old school in my perception of what this car should be. Fords in it to, *gasp* make money, and to reach as many new buyers as possible. Most new/younger buyers ain't us, markets change, transportation needs change. Heck, most younger folks would rather Uber around, why hassle with all the car ownership crapola? I hate progress...kinda.

Surely they're not dumb enough to kill their mid-size sedan (Fusion) due to a perceived lack of sales (their excuse to dive head-first into crossovers), and then pump out yet another bastardization of the Mustang name as a mid-size sedan.

Yes they are. As fuel prices continue to rise, I would not be surprised to see many transition back to cars. I am taking a serious look at the new Maverick hybrid. 40+ mpg real world is enticing. Also the ease of entry.

My uncle's 62 Ford falcon .I helped him

find this car about 15 years ago for about $800 .Pretty cool show car now.

Falcons are way cool. I've seen 'em tubbed like you're uncles, and lowered with all the suspension goodies to make it a road course demon. Pretty versatile in my book.
