I emailed in the first minutes as Hack did.
I was real up front that I am ready to purchase. Got an email saying he would call me to place the order.
That was about 27 hours ago....

I really still want one but am thinking they gotta be gone.
I emailed him within the first 10 minutes or so as you two did as well, and said I was ready to buy...got an email later that day from him saying the same things as you and Hack.

Called really quick yesterday and spoke to him, he said that a couple of his bosses were up so he was super-swamped, and that they would be taking care of everything by email only. I'm trying to be patient to help them out, but the wait is killing me! I just want to put the deposit down and get the DORA so I know that I'm locked in!

Yes...60 emails and about 100 calls...after I ask EVERYONE to NOT call and respect his wishes...All this managed to do was overwhelm them. Over 75% of the calls were Bull-crap questions about timing and other non related stuff. He had several available, it was simple..."Here is my name and email address if you have a GT350 available I'm ready to put down a deposit down on a car" But no....just wasting a lot of their time...I will not share anymore for my finds. I try to do some a favor and it back fires on me. Well I was taught a lesson.

We all learned that you're an idiot for posting something like this on a public web site about a car that's currently highly sought after and expecting 100% of the people reading these forums to abide by your instructions. Did you just start using the internet in the past week or so?

Yeah the internet gives you enough anonymity that you feel free to be a jerk to others. I can see that.

Well, I guess I will hold out hope for now that by not calling or emailing repeatedly I will have a better shot at a car. I looked it up and it's over 11 hours away. I hope I get to drive down there!

Nice shot!

I saw in another thread here a post about a month old of a dealer still trying to unload 50th LEs. Not the same league at all but I gotta keep telling myself my GT350 will be there. Damn PITA but...Patience...:hitcomputer:

This dealership needs to be put in a Sticky for all to see, and do business with. Make a point to post up the ADM dealerships so people can avoid doing business with them in the future.

it's really not that complicated...it's just like, basically, everything else in life...if you have a great relationship with the dealer you're dealing with (whether you're a great customer, a friend, whatever), you'll get a solid deal. If you're just some guy (which, unfortunately, I'm beginning to believe that a lot of you on this forum are)...whether you love mustangs or Ford or not, who blathers on on forums or not, you're not going to get a solid deal on a limited-production vehicle....no matter how much you forum-post about it.

Not sure I understand the tone of your post correctly, but you're wrong. There are some guys around here with an over inflated sense of themselves but even so, most of them have provided info and resources we would otherwise have gone without. I got a mine at MSRP and I am just "some guy". I had no prior relationship with the dealership. I had to work to find the deal. Close to 5O emails and or phone calls to find one in fact. There are deals out there for those willng to put in the effort.

He's right. You're the exception but was willing to put in the work. Many many many people here want one at invoice at their beck and call at whatever dealership is closest to them without doing any leg work.

I spoke to him. He is swamped and got hit with 60+ emails LOL. He said he needed to speak to the GM to see how he wanted to handle it.
The Internet manager also emailed me and told me they had 6 allocations and none had deposits yet. She said they were going to visit about how they were going to handle them.

Hmm.

DDUB68,

You see you one of the problems here...you already have a car...which is what you told us on here, and me. So why in the hell did you call him? looking to make another friend? And I'm the idiot? Maybe I'm am or just naive enough to think we are dealing with individuals on here that can read any follow instruction on a favor I did to THOSE that want a car... there's always guy like you at Steve on here that ruin it for other...call me what ever names you want....

P.S. it will be nice to meet you in person at one of the Shelby meets since you live in Dallas !

Oh the drama
It will only end when the less enlightened finally realize that the only "limit" here is how many they can sell. It has been this way with every top dog Mustang offered. No need for any drama because it WILL play out this way, it always does.

Slow your roll Donson. I do have a car at 1000 over MSRP. If I could get that same car and save 1000 why wouldn't I try? Also, I did follow the "instructions" and emailed him. When he called me back, we had that discussion and I was passing along what I was told. Who called you an idiot? He got 60plus emails, how did I ruin anything? . Did you think 3 or 4 people would email? The problem isn't me it's the tire kickers. I would have bought one at MSRP and given my deal to someone local just like you if you get your R.
Thank you for the information and I hope to see you around Dallas as well. Wish you luck on that R.
