I’m trying to use forscan to update some sync 3 settings. Since the car is tuned it’s asking for the stock pcm #. I got that off the as builds and it still won’t connect. It said a strategy code would work as well, however when I bought the car it didn’t have a stock file so that doesn’t seem to be an option. Has anyone had this issue or have a possible solution?

Just had the Issue on my mustang. I followed this thread on here. It ended up being pretty easy. Download the build

My car is tuned by me and I can use forscan without jumping through hoops since I do not scramble the OSID.

It is your car, not the tuner's.

Also here’s the device I’m using. Installed the proper drivers for it.

You will have to get an unlock code from Lund. If they will give it to you.

Do you have the tuning device? If so return to stock then use ForScan then reflash the tune.

If not Lund likes to charge for a new tune and device. Depending on what year he tuned it Ford is probably locked out too.

See the thread beware of Lund.

well the response I got today from them was “2018+ do not save a stock file on the ngauge as it takes too long to read and save” so I would say it’s not looking too good. I don’t have a stock file at all. I’m not sure why the pcm code won’t work for me. Super aggravating because the volume is messed up and turned all the way up you can barely even hear the radio while cruising. Everything else works fine.

Because Lund scrambles the OSID (PCM) code when they install the tune. It needs the Lund "key" to un scramble or un-encript it.

If you are a hacker or know one, many would thank you for finding the key.

OK, Lund should heve your stock file and they should be able to send it to you via email. Assuming you have the Ngauge.

Interesting. I’m tuned by Lund and have no issues whatsoever using Forscan. I don’t think being tuned has any issue with using Forscan. At least there hasn’t been any issues for me. How would being tuned affect build data?

so what did you input when it says tune detected and ask for the strategy code? I’ve tried everything I can think of and it still says unable to read vehicle.

Mine never asked that at all. Just hooked it up and off I went. I’ve been in and out of it numerous times as well. I’ve used Forscan to log as well and haven’t had any issues.
