Been trying to track down some answers from the dealers in the area and it's been like trying to pull teeth, some don't even know what I am talking about, lol. Been transferred around from sales, to service to parts.

I will try again today, I know Gary Yeomen Ford in Daytona Beach will install it but haven't been able to get back to them to ask about price, install time and warranty info.

Same here. Dealers don't know anything. Mine does not even touch aftermarket stuff.

I got lucky somewhat as my Dealer was also a Roush Distributor. On the other hand, it was really straight forward, so not sure why they couldn't simply contact another dealership or call FP.

I would be scared to even ask my dealer as I have been having stiff clutch issues with my car since I bought it and they cant figure that one out. I know I dont want them messing with the tune.

That's all normal and believe it or not Ford considers the Ford Performance Pack an aftermarket part. So if Ford were to evaluate a problem and they attribute it to the aftermarket parts, then Ford Performance's warranty kicks in. There's not really much to ask Ford. If you want to understand the warranty, then ask Ford Performance because once you install this performance pack, Ford will wash their hands of anything that can be attributed to the upgrade. FP will take care of it for 3/36.

I talked to my Ford dealer about how the warranty worked too. It was a waste of time. I had read Ford Performance's warranty ahead of time. Every time the dealer tried to say how things would work, I showed them something in Ford Performance's warranty. So it was all a waste of time, all I did was educate the dealer on how the warranty would work but honestly it's very simple. People are just over complicating it.

I will say having had the Tune installed for just over a month, it is a nice little blast for those who want something simple and under some sort of warranty. I enjoy it.

Here is the thing, if you car does break down from the tune, who would do the repair? It seems as even if FP did cover the costs of repair, the dealer would want nothing to do with it and point you to a shop that repairs with aftermarket parts. Then you are stuck scrambling to find a place to repair your car for a few months for a mom and pop shop with 3rd hand parts for your Mustang. FP might cover the costs of repair, but do they say a dealership has to do the repair work?

This is all assumption, but if the Dealer is this clueless about Ford Performance tunes, I can imagine them being just the same about filing warranty work with them when doing a repair on your car. I can see them very easily turning service away from you because they don't want to deal with the hassle with FP because the only do regular business with Ford. At this point Ford or their dealers owe you nothing, but Ford Performance owes you everything. So you are the mercy to whom ever can do the repair work.

The dealer is more than happy to do the repair if that's who you choose to do the work. They just want to be paid and that needs to come from FP. Personally, I would go to a reputable shop with an ASE certified technician that you trust. Have them do the install and register the warranty then bring the car back to them if you have any problems.

There actually are some good Ford dealers that work with mods. Some of them even sell modified cars. Some of the dealers actually have competent service departments. If yours isn't one of those, there's no reason to bring your car there.

Can you feasibly run the tune without the air intake? It's not going to mess anything up?

Yes, the (US market) EB operates off MAP rather than MAF for metered air so the intake is completely independent and will not effect the tune. It's the pressure and temperature of the compressed air after the intercooler that tells the ECU how much air is available to mix with fuel. That's why I was saying I would just use the stock air box which has been proven to outperform aftermarket CAIs with just a filter upgrade. Plus, then you don't have all that sucking noise.

Who wants their car to suck? ;)

That's pretty good, my dealer just turns their back. They sell at full retail price ONLY. Keep in mind, you don't have to have it installed where you buy it from.

Has anyone been able to just buy the tune?

If you mean without the intake, I don't think that is possible. You'd just have to be willing to eat the added cost of the intake.

You can buy the intake without the tune but not the other way around which is silly since the tune isn't reliant on it, at least not in the US.
