Yo Ken, if anyone gripes let them know you just sold a few Ecoboosts that wouldn't have otherwise been purchased w/ your posts.

A lot of negativity since the reviews...Ford should be thanking you...

I would like to see a drag pack edition w/ this stuff (sans wheels and tires) already installed on a base car...this one looks like it has big brakes on the front, any chance this is a PP?

There is no way that picture has anything to do with either the 2.3 ecoboost or the stock 5.0

Testing a 600+ hp GT350 mule with slicks, now that is a possibility

The 2011 5.0 GT with performance pack and manual trans that I work on has run a best 11.90 with a 1.59 60' and we don't come close to lifting the tires like that. Only mods are the ford mufflers and a light driveshaft

With a 4.2 first gear and aftermarket gears (3.73 - 4.11) the torque multiplication is huge. Assuming 4.11s you are looking at +5000 ft-lbs at the rear axle with a stock engine. Yes it can do a wheelie if it has good traction (i.e. slicks, prepped track). It's freaking awesome. Good job Ford.

It's all about weight transfer. IRS will have better traction than a solid rear axle.
The knock on irs is wheel hop and broken axles. We will see how tuff they are.

I had a car that would pull a tire and run 15's. It is definitely possible.

Personal attacks are uncalled for. You can make a point without calling someone an idiot.
True. Instead of idiot, I should have said ignorant.

My bad.

Wow! I'm really impressed the ILIRS can hook like that. Not too many IRS designs out there that can manage hooking up well enough to lift the front tires.

I'm just in shock that this is the Ecoboost... I can get over the IRS being that good, really didn't see this type of behavior out of the EB. I'm hearing the EB S550 is right at home in Auto X. It's a shame that these times are in line with what the ZL1 and z28 normally run in the wild.

I'm in enough hot water now, you will have to wait until the info is publish on trap speeds, it will be soon. I can assure everyone that the EcoBoost had the irs in while testing.
I think we all appreciated what you did. Thanks for clearing up the misinformation

Depends on the traction. I've seen less HP/TQ launch on the bumper.
True.
I don't dispute that the car can do it, I just have trouble believing they got enough HP out of the stock turbo to do it.

Without revealing anything else, curious if MMFF has tested the S550 yet?

Someone over at /r/Mustang on Reddit stated the above claimed Ecoboost setup makes 450 hp.
