I saw many of the same comments in regards to the deck lid panel but have one on order anyway from LMR, we shall see.

ya...i can see a dimple in your picture...also these panels are pulled off the production line before emblems are drilled into them. the dimples are place holders to show where they drill into. there are other options out there if you don't like the way ford manufactures their decklid panels to drill into them...

lol

sucker is born everyday.

I recently bought a ford racing deck lid threw LMR and when i installed it i noticed in the middle of the decklid there is perfect round dent. I sent a picture to LMR and they told me to return and they will send out another one.
I just got a call from them saying that is normal to have the dent in the middle. It is from putting on the factory GT emblem when they produce the OEM deck lid. What does it have to do with the ford racing one? The only reason we buy this deck lid is not to have anything on it.

I also purchased one from CJ pony last year for my 2015 and never had the dent.

Here is a picture of the dent
Wait until you find the dent in your fender above the rear wheels.

Yep I just got a brand new deck lid from Levittown Ford last week. It has a dimple in it.

Should be named the Ford Racing Dimple Decklid.

Just got a return label from ford racing. Call and speak to Ray. He will take care of you.

When you purchase something NEW no need to be any defects in the itrm. It was confirmed by ford racing and they are taking care of it.

Just trying to help out anyone that has the same issue

That's not a drill dimple, that's a sink mark from the injection sprue in the mold. If you look at the back side you will see the circular mark where the plastic is injected into the mold. Because of the thickness of it compared to the the thickness of the part it cools more slowly and 'sinks' in. Might be hard to find one without that mark though it is possible.

It's ridiculous that they sell a blank-out part and have a dimple in them on the regular. Not acceptable. I'd insist on sending it back on the sellers' expense until I got one free and clear.

I understand but is shouldn't be there. But hey, some people don't care if new parts are defective but i do.

Is been taking care of. Ford racing is well aware of the issue and Ray from ford racing was helpful. He knew exactly what was wrong. I send him a picture with my purchase recipe from LMR and 10min later he emailed me a UPS return label and he is sending one over.

Like i said, When i bought one last year June from CJ for my black mustang it never had dimple on it. I mean you can defiantly see it from 10 feet away.
