Ford Racing Deck Lid Problem

I recently bought a ford racing deck lid threw LMR and when i installed it i noticed in the middle of the decklid there is perfect round dent. I sent a picture to LMR and they told me to return and they will send out another one.
I just got a call from them saying that is normal to have the dent in the middle. It is from putting on the factory GT emblem when they produce the OEM deck lid. What does it have to do with the ford racing one? The only reason we buy this deck lid is not to have anything on it.

I also purchased one from CJ pony last year for my 2015 and never had the dent.

Almost all of them have it. I've bought two; one was worse than the other, but they both have it.

Apparently 99% of them has them as he said. I never noticed it until someone mentioned it on here. The one you had that didn't must have been a unicorn. lol

I bought mine from the ford vendor on here, mine had it. You can ask for a new one but it will be the same outcome...most have thrown a howler badge on the back...

Exactly! we buy the blank panel for the clean look, But this stupid dent is very noticeable.

Nothing wrong with LMR, They are great to deal with but wtf is up ford racing?

Not sure if you can tell but i fuking guarantee you guys it never had a dent.

Ok guys just got off the phone with ford racing and Ray told me they had bunch bad defective deck lids that are not supposed to have the dent on it. He was completely aware of the issue. Some vendor have a bad batch and need to send it back to ford racing.

So if you guys have one with dent on it call up ford racing and they will take care of you.

ya...i can see a dimple in your picture...also these panels are pulled off the production line before emblems are drilled into them. the dimples are place holders to show where they drill into. there are other options out there if you don't like the way ford manufactures their decklid panels to drill into them...
