I'm fine if I open the door fully, but almost never have that much open space beside me. I wish other manufacturers would copy Porsche doors. There are more opening indents to choose from and they are spaced better.
That's not a drill dimple, that's a sink mark from the injection sprue in the mold. If you look at the back side you will see the circular mark where the plastic is injected into the mold. Because of the thickness of it compared to the the thickness of the part it cools more slowly and 'sinks'...
I've come to realize people are either convertible people or not. I've owned three in the last 20 odd years and you'll hardly ever see my car moving with the top up. In my Boxster I've been seen driving top down with snow flakes falling!!
Mine doesn't have much wind noise with both the top and windows up. I do find the cowl shake to be quite excessive though. It became more noticeable after putting in lowering springs.
Funny, but it is seems to me the general public tends to echo what they read in car magazines with opinions following 6+ months behind. While car shopping that ended with me buying the GT convertible, I was cross shopping the M235i, AMG45 and S3.

I have Shadow black and at 300 miles I had my first chip on the hood. Now at 900 miles I have three extremely noticeable chips. Worst paint on any car since my wife's '98 Cavalier! I'm now going to get them fixed and spend several thousand to wrap the entire front end. Total BS.
