And who might said company be if you don't mind sharing?

Callies? Crower? Webb?

There are already aftermarket Ecoboost 2.3 cam blanks in the manufacturing process. It's a long drawn out process, many times over 12 months. Good news is the company having the blanks made will sell them to all the typical cam grinders as well as their own line of cam grinds developed specifically for the Ecoboost 2.3.

This is getting interesting.

I can't wait to see the maps/plots and how this breathes after the new cams. Wonder if these are the rally cams I heard mentioned for the RS in competition.

I dropped the new cams off to get profiled. We will soon know exactly what they are.

Got the results from the cam profiling.
Intake cam
Max lift 0.353"
Duration @ 0.50 lift, 207 degrees
Duration @ 0.350 lift, 20 degrees

Exh Cam
Max Lift 0.307"
Duration @ 0.50 lift 203 degrees
Duration @ 0.300 lift 30 degrees

I have the full run down on the cams including opening and closing events. but the above will satisfy most

Wow, surprised anyone is trying to make cams for this engine. If it's a VVT engine (Variable Valve Timing), then it seems the only thing you could change with a new cam is the lift. Anything else can be done by changing the tuning in the computer

I believe your still limited to a max of xx deg on intake ,my guess would be around 50deg but could be less or more .
Edit: I see they have control of both intake and exhaust side so might be a lot more freedom , I thought they were using similar system to like Honda K20/K24 (Intake only 35-50deg max).

Since this is boosted they probably looking to keep velocity high through the ports so response is good .

The cams are small but still a step up from stock, and the only thing avail. Right now. I'll get the stock cams profiled when I do my head swap in a month or so. The only thing I know about the stock cams is
Intake is 7.8 mm lift and 4 degrees less duration then the FRPP cam
Exh is 7.4mm lift and 16 degrees less duration them the FRPP cam

This is incorrect.

You cannot increase cam lobe duration during a single firing event with VVT. You can shift phasing in relation to TDC, but you cannot increase total duration by manipulating cam phasing. A different lift and duration will be beneficial to any VVT motor if designed well.

Changing both lift and duration is optimal for more power, assuming the changes are done correctly.

Yeh, I bet he was thinking overlap, that is how I took his comments .
None of VVT can change duration of cam, it just shifts cam center on gear .

gte,

I can't release exactly who it is just yet... I will say this, the company has a strong following and is known for developing more hardcore/ highend Ford four cylinder racing parts.

Can you give a rough estimate on price window and performance expectations?

I would like to see something for less than $400 and a duration of between 265 and 275 degrees and lift somewhere between 10 and 12mm for a street/strip cam.

Will we have something close to that option do you think?
