Nice! Anyone that is interested in getting a set I will have 5-10 sets of the first batch in possession when they release. I will be releasing them by themselves, or with upgraded valvesprings!
Sooo. The new head, cams, and upgraded head will cost what? ;)

Yes. I know you saw what I did. Haha

I'm not really good in technical data for the cars but can you please tell me what will the cams do for a performance if I will decide to upgrade?

It is difficult to tell what affect they will have since the base setup is a variable timing system. Theoretically an adjustment to the duration of the cam lobe should only affect the upper and lower limits as everything in between should be within the scope of the variable system already. They do have more lift so there should be more air flow possible which means more air=more power but the change is very small.

MAPerformance's ported and polished head will have a larger impact at this point (50%+ more air flow on the bench) but they also plan on doing some camshaft development as well.

What kind of increase we are talking about? 10-15% or less?
Can you tell me is it a big job to change the cams? I'm still on the warranty and will do it in an authorized dealership.

Increase it.
:headbang: thank you!

My suggestion is to wait just a couple more weeks. MAPerformance has them in hand and will let us know:
1. what it takes to change them
2. if it is worthwhile to make the change

Hang tight...

Changing cams on these motors is not a small job. You need special timing tools the is a plate and a pin to properly set the timing of the new motor. Pretty sure these are still friction washers for the timing pulleys so those bolts and washers have to be replaced. Somebody experienced could probably do them in 5 hours or so, but dealership will probably charge 8 hours ish so budget that shop rate and extra parts.

4-5 hours on a cam job here in house. There is enough room to do it all in the car and the tools all fit. We made our own custom tools to do the job and wasn't too bad.

Has anyone or any shop installed these yet? Curious to hear about the impressions.

I haven't heard of anyone with them installed yet, I would bet that MAP will be installing them on SVO's car???
I have a set, but I'm waiting on "other parts" before I install them.

I have a set here for our car, a set was sent to you, and Whoosh@CPE got my last set. I don't know when we will be testing our stuff out, clutch is holding us up.

There are already aftermarket Ecoboost 2.3 cam blanks in the manufacturing process. It's a long drawn out process, many times over 12 months. Good news is the company having the blanks made will sell them to all the typical cam grinders as well as their own line of cam grinds developed specifically for the Ecoboost 2.3.
