Sooo. The new head, cams, and upgraded head will cost what? ;)Nice! Anyone that is interested in getting a set I will have 5-10 sets of the first batch in possession when they release. I will be releasing them by themselves, or with upgraded valvesprings!
Need a tuner to play with these to see how much the tune will need to be adjusted.....Tree'd ya, bruh! Lol
It is difficult to tell what affect they will have since the base setup is a variable timing system. Theoretically an adjustment to the duration of the cam lobe should only affect the upper and lower limits as everything in between should be within the scope of the variable system already. They do have more lift so there should be more air flow possible which means more air=more power but the change is very small.I'm not really good in technical data for the cars but can you please tell me what will the cams do for a performance if I will decide to upgrade?
What kind of increase we are talking about? 10-15% or less?It is difficult to tell what affect they will have since the base setup is a variable timing system. MAPerformance's ported and polished head will have a larger impact at this point (50%+ more air flow on the bench) but they also plan on doing some camshaft development as well.
Increase it.
thank you!My suggestion is to wait just a couple more weeks. MAPerformance has them in hand and will let us know:What kind of increase we are talking about? 10-15% or less?
Can you tell me is it a big job to change the cams? I'm still on the warranty and will do it in an authorized dealership.
thank you!
Changing cams on these motors is not a small job. You need special timing tools the is a plate and a pin to properly set the timing of the new motor. Pretty sure these are still friction washers for the timing pulleys so those bolts and washers have to be replaced. Somebody experienced could probably do them in 5 hours or so, but dealership will probably charge 8 hours ish so budget that shop rate and extra parts. What kind of increase we are talking about? 10-15% or less?

I have a set here for our car, a set was sent to you, and Whoosh@CPE got my last set. I don't know when we will be testing our stuff out, clutch is holding us up.I haven't heard of anyone with them installed yet, I would bet that MAP will be installing them on SVO's car???
I have a set, but I'm waiting on "other parts" before I install them.
