I installed a Ford Performance strut tower brace and cowl brace, and ever since installation I'm getting a vibration sound on the right side when driving. Anyone have this problem? I tried loosening and retightening all the bolts but it's still making that sound. It's possible that maybe the plastic piece covering the cowl brace is vibrating and hitting the brace. Any ideas on how to identify or fix this issue would be greatly appreciated.

What plastic piece are you referring to? The cowl brace is metal. Did you leave the factory plastic cowl piece on? That is supposed to come off. Or did you miss a few push pins on the cover that goes over the cowl brace maybe? If you have some pics that might help too

I'm referring to the piece that's held down by the push pins. The one that goes under the wipers. All the pins are back in place. Yes I did take the plastic cowl piece off.

Ok. Does it feel secure or does that cover wiggle around a little? Sometimes those clips wear out if they’re removed somewhat frequently (or sometimes after just a few times). Also check your battery cover to make sure that’s on securely (and the brown plastic clip that attaches to one of the strut studs).

Use a gopro on a magnetic or clamp mount and drive, stop, move camera, and drive some more. Watch the video and see if it is obvious.
