Interested in making some handling upgrades to 2017 V6. As this kit is well thought of, I was looking into it.

A Mustang specialty reseller online says it does not fit the V6 coupe and when I asked why they could not answer. Ford Peformance said they don't recommend it because it was never validated with the V6 (it was with EB and GT) and they don't know how it would perform...but technically it would fit. Engine weight Cyclone 433lb, Ecoboost 418lb, GT 445. Total vehicle weight difference between V6 and EB is 6lbs (3526 V6 vs 3532 EB).

I feel like this is just everyone not wanting to support an obsolete model and that it probably will work just as well on my car as current S550. Can anyone confirm or refute this before I drop $800?

It will fit and work fine. I used to have a '15 V6 with GT PP1 struts and shocks and BMR performance springs (slightly stiffer than PP1). It was a big improvement.

I had the FP Track handling on my 6 and worked great.

It'll be a big step up. They're just playing CYA games.

You’ll be fine. For example, Steeda’s Pro Action shocks/struts all fit V6, Ecoboost and GT. The Ford Performance kit is quite good. I had it paired with BMR performance springs and now with Steeda linears. Both combos are great.

Did you use the factory springs? Our driveway is really steep entrance and I've already installed a rubber "helper" curb to help clear the front. I don't think I can accomodate lowering springs.

With that said, I could go with something like the Koni shock and strut SRT version (non-adjustable) for a bit less money than the Ford Performance - or for a few bucks more the Koni adjustable yellow and run with the stock springs.

Goal for the car is DD with some improvement in handling for occasional autocross and spirited driving. Not a track car.

Thoughts on that?

I think some steeda minimum drop springs and steeda non-adjustable dampers are what you're after.
