Ford Performance pack dash gauges

Anyone know if it is possible to swap out the 3 pod a/c vents in a GT Premium to the 2 a/c pods and the Ford Performance pack gauges ( Oil Pressure & Boost )? I know gauges and the dash cover overlay are available, but is the wiring harness plug laying in the dash? And is there a 3rd a/c duct in the middle that needs rerouted? I have not pulled the dash trim piece off to look behind it.

Yes, all 2015+ GT’s have the plug behind the Sync display panel, just pop that off (it’s a lengthy process but not difficult). The plug will be behind a plastic panel that is behind the display. Otherwise, just buy the panel and the gauge pack and you should be good to go. Thepartsfarm usually has them for reasonable price. Better than paying $1000+ for just the plastic trim panel

I bought my 21 mustang a few months ago. Non pp. I did this very search to install guages. I got all the trim panels, including the ac vent with "since 1964". The original piece just said mustang. Anyway the plug is behind the radio. I pulled the trim off. You have use a Dremel and remove some of the plastic structure so the guages fit. Also have to trim down the center ac vent to it all fits. Once I trimmed it all down, I got some hvac tape to cover the center vent so hot or cold air would not blow onto the bushes and force more air out of the other 2 vents. Now the 2 ac vents on the new trim piece is bigger than the vents behind the bezel. What I did was popped the vents out. Once everything was trimmed and it was a good vent, I pushed in the vents until they were properly seated. The guages work fine. It's pretty cool. I think on eBay I spend 400 for all the trim pieces with the guages. The partsfarm is good but I have checked with them for a week straight and they were out of stock. So that's why I went the eBay route.


It's on old thread, not sure if it was on here or another forum, but a guy did a walkthrough with pics. Also I think there might be a YouTube cideoa as well. I searched by "mustang installing po gusges on non pp" or a variatiin of that. It took me about an hour.

Does that include base models because I have a 16 base gt and could not find the plug.

Yes, it should be behind the Sync APIM. Once you pull that out, it’ll be stuck on a panel behind the system. It’s either in front or behind the panel, I can’t remember. But it was there for my buddies 2015 GT as well as my 2019 and 2020 GT. All 3 were base models minus my 2020 being a 301A but regardless, it should be there.

I have a 2015 gt premium 50 year anniversary 6 speed. I’ve pulled practically everything out and I don’t see a plug. Maybe I’m just blind but according to everyone else I should have the plug. Is it hidden somewhere?
