The way I read this was that the CFTP cars will have the can installed already. If you have a base, you can buy it and install. If you have a GT or a GT350, you can use this, but only if you have those covers. So a GT500, base or CFTP, is good to go.

Something I just thought of......If all you need is the covers to make this work for the GT and GT350, is the hole already there and just plugged ?

Could you remove the cover, take the plug out, and create a hole through the EXISTING covers to make this work ? Hmmm.........

Looks to me like the plug is designed to be removed with the valve cover on the head. It appears to have a hex head notch in it for removal.

It does not look this way, it is a completely different valve/cam cover.

It’s actually surprisingly not that expensive I’m seeing 250 for the pair with all gaskets and fasteners.

Right - I missed the "pair" part. That's not bad considering what covers cost now.

The price also includes shipping. You will need to shop for a discount coupon to see if you might further reduce your spend. It took me over a half hour to finally get one to work. You have to copy the coupon code
Go to the website via the link and then paste at check out . Happy shopping.
