If it is GT6, I'm surprised that the game developers allowed that. Considering they take so much pride in how realistic it is, it would be hard to make it realistic with no official numbers being released on performance. I don't think Ford has even finalized the numbers themselves. So it won't really be a simulation S550, it'll probably be a improved S197 in the game with a S550 skin.
If it is forza or nfs dlc, wouldn't they reveal some specs in the games like hp and weight?
For a video game they could give them any specs or simply let Polyphony make up whatever they wanted. Back in GT3 and GT4 they had several concept cars that never made it into production but still had HP and weight ratings. None of it was real.

Well that sucks. I hate arcade style racing games.
Me too. I wanted to like Forza Horizon but hated the feel.

I agree that this is likely going to be an announcement regarding the video game; however, I have a suspicion that the new mustang will be involved in the Need for Speed movie to an extent. It seems very fitting that Aaron Paul's character could wreck his current gen mustang in the movie and subsequently replace it with the new mustang, especially if it occures towards the end of the movie leading into a possible sequel. The timing would be perfect, considering the amount of marketing Ford is putting forth.

Not going to happen. I've worked on film sets before. You can't walk 5 feet without a camera on you. Every person on set (all 100+) has a smart phone, and anyone could easily snap a pic at any moment. If it was in the film, it would have been leaked months ago.

Thus is why I said especially towards the end of the movie...it wouldent take long to film and doesnt necessarily require any driving scenes. The movie release isnt until March, so timewise it wouldent impede too much of the final production. Just thinking out loud

A 10 second scene in a movie takes hours and hours of setting up. They would have to have the car sitting there for literally hours to get the lighting right, multiple takes. PA's get paid just above minimum wage, so I have no doubt that someone would risk there job to get a few grand from an auto magazine for the picture. I'm not saying it's impossible, but don't get your hopes up.

This is minor news. GM got lucky and landed Transformers for the Camaro launch. If I recall correctly the movie released summer of 2007 and gave Chevy 2 years to build excitement for the car. Actually too long in my opinion but it built a lot of buzz. It's too late in the game for Ford to build that kind of buzz in the general public. I expect a heavy push during the Super Bowl.

Great. Now I have to download rivals...
I hate NFS. Is this release at least somewhat decent?

GT hood vents/grille though...............so I'm thinking not GT350. But it'll be good to see it in a different colour combo :)
