Ford is re-purchasing my 18 GT..

Hey guys, i'm new to this forum & I hope my topic that I am posting is in the correct section. I'm heartbroken because Ford is re-purchasing my vehicle this week-ish reason being engine tick/sounds/rattle. In all honesty, I get that a lot of people say it's no problem, just send it, etc but the proof is in the pudding! The cylinders are scoring and metal shavings are being found in the oil filter. Everyone has their own opinion but my opinion is that these things are not okay for a $44,000+ USD brand new automobile to be experiencing. I don't want to make this long so I am going to try my best to simplify it. My car went to 4 dealers total, the first 3, showed the sounds to the technicians, they were shocked at how nasty it sounded, even compared to the same cars on the lot...only to get a call back 1-3 weeks later that "everything checks out/all is good". Car was sitting around for 2 months between 3 dealers. Did a lot of research in the mean time via YouTube/forums/etc, created an epic list filled with information and dropped the car off at a 4th dealer. Short block got replaced. They wouldn't give me much info, honestly I felt like I was a teacher to them. They even filled the car with 8 quarts of oil and I had to let them know to top it off to 10. It was at this 4th dealer for over 70 days. Got a lawyer involved, Ford accepted a re-purchase for me. I also hear that the 19s are having this issue, right? This was a horrible last 7ish months for me and I do NOT want to go through this again. By the way, besides the BBQ tick sound, there's this really weird rod knock type sound as well, it's pretty nasty honestly. Took it to a handful of 3rd party mechanics just to listen to and they said this sound is baaaad. Now, my main question here... what do I do now?! Words cannot describe my love for the Mustang, I finally was able to purchase my first 5.0, basically my dream car at the moment. The 40-45k price range is the highest I can go right now and any other car will feel like I am settling and I will probably cry if a Mustang passes me on the highway (lawl). Ford released a bulletin recently saying that the BBQ tick is normal...what about the cylinder scoring/metal flakes???? Do you guys think there will be a resolution to this if I wait it out a little to get another Mustang? Thanks for taking the time to read this if you did. Some of you can even bash me, sure.. as we all have our own opinions.

If Ford has already agreed to buy the car back from you, until then.. send it! Wash your hands of the car, and move on to a new mustang

Hehe. I really want to but this is a common issue and I do NOT want to go through what this car put me through again :( Nothing more i'd love than to own a mustang without this issue, lol.

I completely understand @Gregory and I wouldn't even have a Mustang if my Focus RS hadn't blown up a couple times! I loved that car(RS) but had to make the smart choice as obviously it wasn't working out for me. I have 5k miles on the Mustang and like it so far(mostly). I hope you find something you love, like, or can live with whether it's a Mustang or not.

Man, the Focus is an amazing car it's too bad that's going through some heck itself. Cmon, Ford!!!! The mustang is an amazing piece of machinery, enjoy it. Thank you, my friend. =)

Not until the next generation for me, and a year after the first model run so I see if the issue has been resolved.
