Exactly why I lobbied 5Spurs to produce these new ones. If I wrote what I thought of the OEM toggle switches, I would probably be banned. Aesthetics aside, using the OEM toggle switches just feels bad and the first thing I do when I start mine is switch to mymode.Actually I like the proposed switch lever profile. They look more robust than the OEM switches.
Since purchasing my Mustang the OEM switch appearance has never wooed me. I've always viewed the color/sheen on my OEM switches as if they were cheap, tarnished pot metal. The never have given me a positive feel. I've looked at switch covers for several years, but to me, they are so-so, just as I view the OEM switches.
I tend to believe that if the supplier has indeed partnered with Shelby, and they show up on their vehicles, it will be only a short matter of time before the demand jumps up for the 5spurs offering. They excite me enough that they may end up on my birthday wishlist that my wife asks me for each year. Not sure if Silver or Black would be my go-to.
That's why I'm pleased that 5Spurs managed to produce appropriate toggle switches for the Mustang. They are so much better. If you would like some, I wouldn't wait long. It may really be that these will only be available with a pre-order.
Little of topic, this is the first project that was realized for Shelby.
