What's the collectives opinion?
And are the prices set or do you have to haggle?

I'm planning currently to extend mine to 8 years w/ base care, and either 75k or 100k miles depending on how many i put on it in 2021. IMO it's worth it and I generally do not purchase any type of extended warranty for anything. There's no other cars on my radar I'd like to have more so planning on having it for long enough to be worthwhile. I assume it would help with resale too if I change my mind.

There are numerous threads about this.

But in short. Yes they are worth it if you plan on keeping your car a long time. They are even transferable if you decide to sell sooner than later. Make sure it is Ford ESP, No 3rd parties. Buy it online at Flood Ford or one of the other Ford dealers. There is no haggling online but when you buy could determine your cost. Play with their calculators to decide when is the best time to buy.

Steve, in my opinion your best bet is to go to https://andersonandkoch-ford-warranty.com and select the warranty options (length, mileage, deductible, cost) that you want. They're not the only on-line dealer offering a Ford warranty, but their pricing is among the best. You'll likely find in-person dealership warranty pricing cannot compete with on-line Anderson & Koch. You could try to negotiate a better price with a local dealership, but why bother when much lower pricing is already available without haggling.

Example: As of September, in my case Anderson & Koch offered an 8 yr(96mo)/36,000mi/$0 deductible Ford Premium Care extended warranty for $1,495; the best price my local Ford dealer offered (from whom I bought my car) for the same warranty coverage was $2,525 (as of August). You apply by simply "plugging-in" information about your vehicle, select the coverage options you want, and decide if the quoted price is acceptable.

If you go with them, you'll receive a warranty contract in your e-mail. Others on this forum have obtained the Anderson & Koch warranty coverage as well, which is how I (thankfully) learned of them. By all means, check them out for yourself before deciding. Good luck with whatever you decide!

Flood Ford has some of the best prices, there's no standard any dealer can charge whatever they want.
