Has anybody been able to get the dealership to budge from employee pricing? As I understand it, EP is an incentive from Ford.
But somebody told me with the demand of the car and you doing a special order (which I plan to) not to hold your breath.
I don't have a Costco membership but maybe I should get one now LOL

Yes, get your Costco immediately. The deal has some fine print around eligibility - you won't qualify if you join Costco and a month later buy a Mustang. But then you just have to be sure that you order your car within a year!

Also, if you join the Mustang Car Club of America then you qualify for X-Plan pricing. Not sure how an X-Plan price compares to an EP - probably similar. X-Plan is the retirees and contractors and relationships discount offering.

The two discounts (X-Plan + Costco, or EP + Costco) stack, although at different places on the invoice.

Get the Costco membership ASAP if the program is still in effect! FEP is usually based on only certain lot cars and may not include the Mustang!!! We are getting a check direct from Ford Canada!!!, for $1000 !!!!

So, from my personnal experience, Ford employee pricing appears to be better than X-Plan, but is still not as good than what I've got with Costco 1000$ + some negociation + 0% over 60 months...
And as for the Costco membership, my salesman told me you have to have it for at least 3 months prior to ordering a car...
DISCLAIMER : All of this info was given by a salesman lol
But Ford EP is good, but the APR then gets to 1,49% vs the 0% a few weeks before, so they take back with on hand what they gave you with the other one...

Pretty much, yeah. Ford will always get their bottom line out a vehicle. The sales incentives all amount to about the same price after you do the math. When I started shopping I went to the web site and specced out the car I wanted and printed it out. 6 months later the deal changed and I specced out the same car with the new deal and compared the two deals and the bottom line was the same.

When I actually bought, the simple fact that I used X-Plan + Costco and they still gave me 0% financing although I was prepared to pay cash told me that there was still wiggle room in the negotiations. Nobody gets money at 0% for 5 years. It's buried in the cost somewhere...

When Employee Pricing came into effect, the 0% financing was replaced with 1.49% for 2015 cars. If you want to order a 2016 then the financing jumps to 4.39%. This is the main reason I eventually got a 2015 instead of ordering a 2016. Plus I have my new ride for the majority of the summer. :p

The fine print on the Costco website at http://www.costco.ca/costco-vehicle-program.html says that " Employee Pricing is not combinable with CPA, GPC, CFIP, Daily Rental Allowance and A/X/Z/D/F-Plan programs. ^Offer only valid from July 1, 2015 to November 2, 2015" Also, it seems the Costco deal only currently applies to Lincoln vehicles - I bought my car earlier this month and could not claim the Costco rebate. :(

However, you mileage may vary...
