I’m far enough along so I thought I would do a small write up on my foglight delete.

The inserts are for the V-6 car and I cut out everything but the divider. Tried multiple techniques until it was suggested by a couple forum members to use a body saw and paraffin wax to minimize the plastic melting. Once I removed the material I then used a dremel sanding barrel to clean up the edges. This is/was a messy and legenthy project but is well worth it.

The mesh material came from custom car grills and closely matches my grill mesh purchased by them as well. Cutting the mesh with shears or a dremel cut off wheel is all that was needed. Bending the mesh to conform to the shape was a little tedious but it came out well.

Attaching the mesh was simple, I used zip tie anchors and used automotive goop for added strength. I am currently waiting for the goop to dry so I will attach everything I the morning. I plan on loosely attaching the mesh with the zip ties until I get the inserts attached then I’ll snug up the ties this was I don’t distort the plastic before anchored.

I should get the bumper mounted tomorrow then I’ll post more photos.

Looks amazing! I just got the new Winjet foglight grille, so I've been looking for ways to delete the lower ones. I don't suppose you'd be willing to make and sell another set of these would you?

I probably would but my only concern would be if the mesh was zip tie secured before installing the insert it may pull it in a way that would make it difficult snap in, I suppose I could leave the ties loose and you could pull them tight after installing the insert.

Great, another mod to do now. Thanks a lot!
Seemed like a lot of time went in to doing them but seems well worth it now that they are done. I have another set to do for a buddy of mine. I’ll post those as well, not sure yet if I’ll make any changes
