Very cool. Last time I went by alameda NAS (formerly), they had it fenced up pretty good. No access to runways.

I liked the slideshow, very nice.

Thanks all. I should mention that I didn't know the property mgmt company prohibits photography on the old base, and the flight line is still fenced off. Must have arrived between shift changes and breakfast runs as I had just over an hour to spot-detail, wonder when the sun would come out, drink coffee and photograph. The "launch" vid was done just after the rent a cop told me I had to go and.. eh. He didn't much appreciate my taking off. Got a free escort off base : )

Irony is I used to be a Naval Aircrewman, and we did a lot of touch and gos off that flight line back in the day. My how time changes things.
