LOL many of us who had 10-15 order delays in 2021 feel your pain! My car ended up taking 7 months. I want to say there was a total of about eight weeks of plant shut downs during the build.

Not again? I thought 2022 potential owners were spared from the 2021 agonies

I got lucky last year, I submitted my order Feb 1st and had the car on the lot April 1st.
Then I got dumb and sold it beginning of September (was twister orange too).
Considering ordering a 2022 if I can’t find anything else I like, hopefully things get sorted.

It sucks but hold strong. Maybe this is a 1w shut down only and in that case it's not going to have compounded wait times. All the best y'all!

I ordered my GT/CS in June last year and had it the second week of August. That included a two week Flat Rock shutdown. Hang in there...it will all be a distant memory once you drive it home.

Mine was supposed to be built last week we'll see I guess.

Interesting Ford attributed it to chip shortage while Stelantis shuts four plants down due to lack of demand.

Something is fishy haha....
Yeah, something seems off. Right after new year, I had a Dodge/Jeep dealer tell me he could order, and get, ANY Challenger I wanted to order, under sticker no less.

Come on Mark, please do not try to make this political. The situation sucks for sure but we have already been told that said that chip shortages would continue through 2022. These are worldwide manufacturing and supply issues. Let’s leave it at that.
Yes sir, I ll leave it at that, not meant to be totally political , just the landscape that I see in ref to the current condition we speak of in this thread.
Not meant to fire anything else up. I ll just read this thread from this point forward, not a problem.

Wow, the conspiracy theorists are out in force today. Is it possible the chips used by Ford are not the same as the ones used by Stellantis? And just because a dealer told you something doesn’t make it true. They’re trying to make a sale.

It’s really not a problem Mark. Maybe you noticed the Mods have banned a few folks on here recently. Didn’t want you to become another one. :like: :handshake:

Of course they are. He never said when delivery would be made. I did find it interesting that they aren't gouging on certain cars like so many dealers/manufacturers are these days, however.
