I have a new set of Velgen Wheels going onto my car next week and i have a new set of Original Ford TPMS Valves, i have fitted TPMS valves before but i cannot see how these will fit as there are no fitting instructions, i was expecting a nut which would fit to the valve on the outside of the rim but there isn't one, can anyone help with this.

I bought a set and gave them to the fitter, when I had tyres fitted to my Project6GR wheels.
Couldn't you ask the tyre fitter to pop them on for you?

Yes i will do that, i actually have a TPMS Fitting Kit which i have used in the past to fit valves to new wheels prior to getting the tyres fitted but as these the Ford Valves did not come with fitting instructions and do not have the locking nut i was expecting i asked the question on here just in case the Tyre Fitter does know how to fit them, it has happened to me in the past!!

When I bought a second set of wheels to fit with winter tyres I could not get any sense from Ford as to how to programme their sensors with the same code as the original wheels. They were telling me I'd have to get them reset at every wheel swap at ÂŁ50 a time. The tyre suppliers fitted their own sensors & programmed them so that swapping wheel sets did not confuse the TPMS.

Fit them.
Drive 100 miles.
Don't panic at all the warnings on the panel.
Check manual (? page 186).
Reset tyre monitoring system.
Might have to repeat a couple of times.

It seems to be an automatic system, but not straight away.

They're push fit, you push them through the back and tap in (With the sensor removed), then you fit the sensor to it, once they're in, getting them out without breaking (the valve) is nigh impossible.

No errors or warnings when I fitted the wheels to the car.
I just reset the TPMS in the instrument cluster menu.
