Hey guys,

I'm going to be buying my first ever set of wheels and after looking at some budget friendly one's I think I'm going to go with XXR 521's in gloss black.

The specs are 20x8.5 +32 and 20x10.5 +30.

I'm going to be using Nitto NT555 G2s in 285/35/20 and 305/35/20.

I'm going to also be buying lowering springs and I'm not sure how much of a drop would be best. I looked at a friend who had 1.1" in the front and 1.0" in the rear and there was more gap than i would like but he also has different tires and wheels. I was thinking with maybe going with Vogtland springs which drop it 1.5" in the front and 1.3" in the rear but i feel like I will have rubbing issues in the front.

Is there going to be any fitment issues? Will I need spacers?

That's way too wide of a tire for a 8.5" front rim and that rear offset will be poke city. Check out some recomended set ups from some reputable vendors and go from there.

Yeah I agree with the above. 285 is too wide for an 8.5 and the rear will poke out like

What he said. Something like a TSW Tremblant would be available in appropriate offsets.

If you cannot get rear wheels with the correct offset, you will need a healthy amount (at least -1.75* or more) of negative camber out back to help reduce the poke. Ideally the offset of a 10.5" wide rear wheel would be around +40 to +45.

Also as others have mentioned, running a 285 on an 8.5" wide wheel is far from ideal. I would personally run a 255/35-20 on that as it will have significantly more sidewall support.

Here's my set up, Rovos Pretoria 20x10 et 38 with Indy 500's 275/35-20 sqaure. I got a great deal on them but I did alot of research to make sure the fitment was what I wanted. Im not a fan of poke but I love flush! Next set of tires I'm going up to 285's now that I'm sure they will fit, they will put me right at flush!

Thanks for the help guys. I really want to run these XXRs but all the comments are making me lean more towards SVE series 3 that will for sure fit on the car. Before i actually give up on them though do you guys think that if i ran 20x10.5 all around with spacers in the front I could make it work with 305/35 in the back and 275/35 in the front? There's a couple people online that are running it but they are running square setups on either 285s or 275s. I do like the amount of poke the guy with 285s had I just don't know if I ran 305s if it would stick out even more.I posted the links about the two people I'm talking about if that matters below.

If your buying new wheels, buy wheels that fit without spacers. There is a ton of affordable options out there for the s550. Or better yet keep an eye out on the classifieds hear and you will come across a great deal sooner or later. The only way I'd run spacers would be to push out factory wheels or to make a used set work. BTW sve wheels are a good option for the price.
